REHAU Construction LLC, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious, experienced Academy Sales/Trainer for its Building Solutions Division located at our Head Office in Leesburg, VA.

Specific job responsibilities for the Academy Sales/Trainer of REHAU Construction Academy include: 

  • Manage, develop, and prepare The Academy curriculum for all internal and external training consistent with the priorities and needs of the department.
  • Provide expertise on radiant heating/cooling, plumbing, fire protection and pre-insulated pipe, geothermal products, systems, and applications.
  • Act as consultant and expert for all product and application knowledge to target audience.
  • Present technical and sales information to both direct associates and external customers to include manufacturer rep agencies, wholesaler salespeople, residential and commercial hydronics, heating, and plumbing contractors, mechanical contractors and engineers, and architects.
  • Coordinate and lead all in-house training sessions to include providing the curriculum focus, setting the agenda, providing needed tools and literature, classroom handouts, product samples, hotel and logistics coordination.
  • Ensures processes are efficient and effective and provides continuity in all markets and sales offices.
  • Continuously identify and develop other training topics via market evaluation and customer feedback.
  • Identify all means of new and innovative methods and ideas with field sales and other associates for delivery of training seminars, communication avenues, and curriculum development to address target customer needs.
  • Assist with in-field training seminars as needed.
  • Build the annual calendar, communication, and training session plans for in-house and in-field training seminars.
  • Lead development of product displays for use at training events
  • Develop train-the-trainer programs for the direct and manufacturer representative sales associates.
  • Coordinates budget objectives, department goals, tracking of expenditures and coordinate funding associated with all training activities and makes sure all is in alignment and within approved budget.
  • Develops and tracks metrics for success and best practice learning for continuous improvement to include tracking of attendance, type of audience, development of and collection of evaluations, coordinate follow-up contact with attendees and ensures customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the availability of additional presenters for each training event.
  • Attends industry seminars as needed and staying on top of industry trends to enhance educational offerings including classroom tools, presentation techniques, etc.  
  • Required to travel up to 50% of the time. 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of Bachelors degree from an accredited College/University in a relevant field
  • Minimum of 5-years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in public-speaking with a technical orientation
  • Experience presenting as part of sales and/or technical training programs required
  • Experience in creating adult-education training programs preferred
  • Ability and desire to travel across North America up to 50% of the time required
  • Experience in the North American construction industry with a background in Plumbing/Mechanical systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Team player who works well individually, as well as part of a team
