Responsibilities

REHAU Incorporated, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager for our Window Solutions division (west coast).  They are responsible for sales growth of REHAU windows by generating sustained demand and positioning REHAU as the preferred choice among fabricators, architects, builders and contractors.  The Window Solutions business unit is dedicated to bringing high quality window and door systems to the American marketplace. This is a home-based position with a sales territory that covers West Coast region.  They will identify and secure REHAU window and door product specifications with architects, designers and specifiers.

 

Responsibilities

Specific job responsibilities for the Business Development Manager include:

  • Develop sales territory by managing customer accounts, distribution partners and technical assistants
    • Create pull thru demand with direct focus on dealers (1-stepper, lumberyards) as well as large end-users (contractors, builders, GCs)
    • Develop new business by signing additional accounts, converting contractors to REHAU products, and creating pull-through business with project bidding
    • Create market demand by presenting REHAU products and solutions to engineers and general contractors
    • Generate sales volume by identifying and tracking commercial/residential projects
    • Conduct regional training seminars to distribution, end-users, and engineers
    • Work collaboratively with VP Window Solutions to set the strategy for the territory. Work with other Sales Rep to coordinate strategy on major accounts
  •  Pre-sales pipeline
    • Lead the development, execution, and communication of A&D account strategy
    • Ability to read architectural drawings and familiarity with architectural design and project-management processes
    • Maintain an active opportunity pipeline through weekly A&D visits
    • Conduct monthly product knowledge classes on REHAU Windows to ASID and A&D firms (AIA level), promote and organize lunch and learn lessons.
    • Input opportunities into Salesforce.com to manage projects and keep data up to date. Create and track KPIs (conversion ratios…).
    • Interact with local fabricators to facilitate project tracking and execution of A&D initiatives
    • Manage the necessary coordination with the design takeoff and final deliverable of a specification within the A&D firm
    • Influence the criteria that A&D firms use for the selection of product to be specified and respond to technical questions concerning product application
    • Collaborate with A&D firms on client visits to enhance the customer experience
  • Meet or exceed Sales Incentive Plan as determined by management while managing customer profitability.
  • Maintain customer database via Salesforce.com, including visits and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent level of experience
  • Five or more years of sales experience in the windows and doors industry working for a fabricator or an extruder
  • Proven ability to open new accounts and drive specifications with influencers and decision-makers
  • Proven ability to network and build relationships with key A&D influencers and local organizations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), knowledge of SalesForce.com a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • As a product expert, serve as an integral part of the sales team by supporting REHAU fabricator specification reps, Account Managers, Marketing Managers and the VP of the division.
    • Maintain and increase product knowledge to remain current in the industry and market
  • Team player who works well individually, as well as part of a team
  • Proven ability to set and meet sales targets
  • Willingness to travel 

 

 

A candidate’s final salary offer will be based on his or her skills, education, experience and geographic location. Total compensation may also include bonuses consistent with REHAU’s corporate bonus plan.
