Business Development Manager - Municipex - Technical Sales


REHAU, a leading innovative international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious, experienced Business Development Professional for MUNICIPEX, our PEXa-based water service pipe product. With the objective of increasing market share in the Midwest, you will contribute to the development of sales and the growth of our underground pipe business.  


Job responsibilities for the Business Development Professional will include:

  • Develop and implement regional initiatives to expand MUNICIPEX sales by utilizing pricing strategy, distribution concepts and product promotion
  • Promote products to utility districts, engineers, distribution partners and installers via trade shows, presentations and training programs
  • Work with outside rep agencies to grow sales within the territory
  • Manage existing regional distributor accounts and expand distribution
  • Track activities and maintain customer information via
  • Achieve targets for obtaining product approval at municipalities and utilities
  • Identify and communicate product development opportunities to management



Business Development Manager - Municipex - Technical Sales

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years of outside construction sales experience preferred 
  • Four or more years of experience with waterworks products preferred
  • Experience attaining approval for products at municipalities and utilities
  • Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database for reporting
  • Ability to develop strong rapport with existing and prospective customers
  • Proven ability to communicate and sell technical benefits
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, results driven
  • Ability to travel approximately 60% - 80% within the sales territory



REHAU offers excellent benefits and salary commensurate with experience. Compensation consists of salary plus sales incentive and car allowance.
