    Who We Seek
    We’re looking for top mechanical, industrial and chemical engineering
    students and recent graduates for positions at our Automotive plant and
    Technical Center in Cullman, Alabama. This is where we manufacture
    complete bumper systems, rocker panels, lower door cladding, and rear
    spoilers for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Nissan, KIA and other automotive
    manufacturers.

    Responsibilities

    Main Tasks:

     

    The Resident is the direct contact at the customer on-site in the event of problems and queries of any kind. The job holder is in direct contact with customers and works closely with Quality Control and Quality Management at the customer. Daily communication with REHAU production plant.

     

    On-Site at the Customer

    • Identification of problems arising in terms of product quality, e.g. through incoming goods inspection, sample control
    • Registration and passing-on of complaints
    • Implementation, if applicable initiation and monitoring of reworking/sorting activities
    • Provision of replacement parts in the event of shortages
    • Incoming goods inspection with fault documentation
    • Stock activities and/or stock control
    • Support of customer paint audits and error analyses
    • Release coordination with the customer for borderline samples
    • Participation in and implementation of Quality meetings
    • General resolution of discrepancies

    Other Tasks Include:

     

    • Follow up on the status of DMT's and ensuring the correct liability for concerns as assigned
    • Communication of clean points to PQE and SQO
    • Follow up on off line, sorting activities, GFP and VOCA issues
    • Provide training as necessary to any support personnel that may be assigned to tasks at the customer

     

    Qualifications

     

    Education and/or Experience Required

    • Engineering Degree or significant workplace experience
    • Automotive experience minimum 3 years required
    • Strong background in Microsoft applications
    • Experience and capability in 8D, RCA & 5 Why methodology
    • Fluent in English required and German language would be a bonus
    • Experience with 5S and lean management principles.
