    Responsibilities


     General Ledger Accountant - Temporary Assignment


     

    REHAU Incorporated, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant at our Americas Regional Headquarters in Leesburg, VA for a three to four month temporary assignment. In this role, you will utilize your technical accounting expertise to provide the following support:

    • Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
    • Reconcile quarterly balance sheet accounts
    • Consolidate inter-company transactions and reconciliations including foreign currency accounting
    • Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
    • Assist with management of Fixed Assets
    • File all manual journal entries
    • Document accounting processes
    • Assist with tax, interim and year-end audits
    • Interface with management in various departments, including engineering, sales operations, IT and legal.

    Qualifications


     General Ledger Accountant - Temporary Assignment


    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent level of experience
    • Two or more years of general accounting experience in a mid-size corporate environment required
    • Experience with general ledger and month-end closing required
    • Experience with SAP accounting software preferred
    • Strong Excel and database skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
