    Responsibilities

    REHAU is currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Territory Sales Manager – Technical Sales Representative for our Furniture Business Unit in the South West. This home office based position covers the Southern California, Arizona and Las Vegas territoryThe Territory Manager – Technical Sales Representative develops new business and services existing business in the Southern California, Arizona and Las Vegas area, and is responsible for the planning, control and achievement of sales and GP targets. 

     

    Specific responsibilities include - Territory Manager - Woodworking Surfaces - Technical Sales:

    • Develop sales territory to include managing customer accounts and development of new business for our edgebanding, decorative surfaces and cabinet door product lines.
    • Specify REHAU surface products via interior designers and architect calls.
    • Research the market and assess REHAU’s potential in that market base.
    • Assist in the development of the sales strategy to maximize market share.
    • Establish and maintain working relationships, both internally and externally.
    • Call on distributors, office furniture manufacturers and retail store fixture manufacturers for the purpose of converting them to REHAU products.
    • Maintain customer database via Salesforce.com, including visits and opportunities.

     

    Important Individual Tasks:

    • Market and Customer Related Sales Activities:    1) Personal contact with major customers and active development of an assigned sales territory. 2) Provide support for OEM an distributor staff in sales related questions. 3) Observe activities of the competition in their region. 4) Networking with key decision makers in the territory.
    • Organizational Management: 1) Initiation of appropriate training programs for Distributors and OEMs. 2) Participation in the implementation of regional advertising measures in coordination with marketing. 3) Control and monitoring of all internal, organizational procedures.
    • Planning and Monitoring: (1) Responsible for achieving targets for sales and GP. The Outside Sales Representative – Account Executive must use REHAU tools such as Salesforce.com, SAP to achieve the sales forecast. Specifying individual work programs (e.g. planning visits, handling large projects) in accordance with the market share and targets defined in the annual forecast.

     

    Qualifications

     

    Requirements –- Territory Manager - Woodworking Surfaces - Technical Sales:

    • 2-20 years relevant sales experience.
    • A proven track record of selling into the Woodworking Industry throughout Southwest.
    • Experience in specifying decorative surfaces via designers and architects.
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • A proven understanding of new opportunity management via CRM systems.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    • A proven ability to set and meet sales targets.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Willingness to travel.
