REHAU’s Americas Region includes manufacturing plants, distribution centers and sales offices located across North, Central and South America.
Leadership of cross-functional project teams charged with the cradle-to-grave project management in regard to design, development, validation and launch into mass production of complex injection molded, painted exterior trim parts.
The role requires creating of detailed plans of the actions that will deliver products into production that achieve the customer’s quality and performance expectations, on time and within the established budgets for development and manufacturing cost.
The plan must be communicated and agreed with the team and then resolutely followed up upon to ensure the required progress is made. Problems and roadblocks must be reviewed with the team, corrective actions agreed, implemented and validated, without adversely affecting the overall plan’s objectives. The results of actions must be continually monitored for conformance to the plan for all aspects of costs, profitability, timing and quality. The project team will include external vendors of components and materials.
The position will require travel to customer locations, as well as to REHAU’s manufacturing and sub supplier locations. The Product Engineer is expected to be the main point of contact for customer engineers, the project team members and REHAU management.
The position is mainly responsible for developments with OEMs for production in the US. Responsibilities will also include providing technical support to automotive sales staff and working directly with customers to provide technical support to ensure maximum REHAU content can be achieved.
REHAU Product Engineers need to be able to work effectively on several different component projects at any one time.
