Responsibilities


IoT Developer


  

REHAU, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an innovative and driven IoT Developer at our Americas Regional headquarters in Leesburg, VA. The successful candidate will support the development of smart services, smart products and smart production. Due to his/her profound knowledge in the IT sector, the IoT Developer is in charge of the realization of digitization projects and developing prototypes and software based solutions in our Makers Factory for the digital transformation of our divisions in the Americas Region.

 

Specific job responsibilities for the IoT Developer include:

 

  • Digitization related coaching and technology support of our divisions in the Americas Region
  • Introduction of technological digitization standards for worldwide digitization projects of REHAU
  • Prototype construction and hardware related programming of software
  • Scouting of new digital technology fields
  • Establishing and maintaining a good network with relevant digitization experts in the technology hot-spots and universities in North America. 

Qualifications


IoT Developer


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related discipline
  • One or more years of experience working with IoT platforms like Amazon Web Service, PTC, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of programing languages (Java, Phyton, and R)
  • In-depth special knowledge of IT baseline technologies (cloud, networks, user interface)
  • Developments on Rasperry PI, Arduino or other Microcontroller platforms
  • Experience in programming of Interfaces  (REST API,  UART, USB, WiFi, SPI)
  • Familiar in building prototypes with electronic components (micro-controller, embedded systems, sensors, circuits)
  • Experience in agile project management
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure with multiple assignments and projects
  • Ability to work effectively with co-workers in multiple departments and at all levels of seniority

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent English language skills, written and verbal
