REHAU’s Americas Region includes manufacturing plants, distribution centers and sales offices located across North, Central and South America.


Director of Operations and Supply Chain Management


REHAU, Inc. a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious, experienced Director of Operations and Supply Chain Management for the Americas Region. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain process – from order-to-delivery. This position is the link between SCM/OPS and plants as well as the marketing and technology units in the Americas Region. Due to the extensive area and cultural differences in the region, the successful candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position bears responsibility for Strategic Operations, SCM and Process Engineering, directly and indirectly, at a national and international level. This position is based in Leesburg, VA with travel to our manufacturing facilities throughout the Americas. 


Specific job responsibilities for the Director of Operations and Supply Chain Management include:


  • Support the management, orientation and continuous improvement of the plants across the Americas
  • Align OPS processes with the principles of "Lean" manufacturing and the REHAU Production System 
  • Implement quality, safety and training systems in OPS according to REHAU global standards
  • Support of investment, capacity and cost planning of the plants within the framework of the annual budgeting process 
  • Plan and implement complex investment projects in the OPS environment
  • Lead the regional SCM organization, including logistics, warehousing and asset management 
  • Ensure optimization of overall SCM performance (delivery performance, quality, cost)
  • Actively drive strategic development of SCM within the Americas Region
  • Monitor local SCM performance to ensure quality and date related delivery to the customers
  • Project planning/controlling and resource planning within the supply chain process
  • Manage and develop the SCM team across various skill-sets (training, coaching, certification)
  • Develop customer-oriented working practices
  • Interact with external and internal departments as well as the Regional Executive Board
  • Oversee the investment budget in the Americas Region (regional budget responsibility)
  • Personnel management as first line manager up to ten employees, as second line manager of more than twenty employees across the Americas Region



Director of Operations and Supply Chain Management

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related discipline
  • Comprehensive professional knowledge and experience in supply chain management
  • Experience at an equivalent level within an international manufacturing company preferred
  • Experience managing a team in multiple locations within the Americas 

  • Proven success driving change and managing projects from start to finish
  • Ability to work accurately under time pressure with multiple assignments and projects

  • Ability to work effectively with coworkers in multiple departments and at all levels of seniority

  • Strong skills in utilizing Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Willingness to travel throughout the Americas

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
